Meet the team behind pixie!

Kaia Hossain
Kaia Hossain (she/her) is a poet and fiction writer currently studying English literature and creative writing at Concordia University. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Soliloquies Anthology, Pixie Literary, Encore Books and Records' Window Poem Series, Arrival Magazine and elsewhere. She is a poetry editor for Soliloquies Anthology. She loves Kaveh Akbar and Mary Oliver an unreasonable amount. If she is not writing right now, she is probably thinking about doing so.

Anna Adhikary
Anna Adhikary (she/her) is a 3rd year student in Creative Writing and Anthropology at Concordia. She loves to read and write fantasy, dystopia, and coming of age stories in the first person. Her work can be found in magazines such as Soliloquies, Quist, and Ivy.

Cypress Koch-Demaio
Cypress Koch-DeMaio (she/her) is a prose and poetry writer from Hazelton, British Columbia, now living in Tiohtià:ke and studying creative writing at Concordia University. Her work has appeared in Quist Literary and Encore Books and Records’ Window Poem series. When she isn’t writing, Cypress can usually be found reading, scrolling on Pinterest, or hunched over a crochet project (sometimes all at once).

Ginane Deslaurier
Ginane Deslaurier’s passion for Gothic horror fiction—especially evident in her love for Shirley Jackson’s We Have Always Lived in the Castle—drove her to pursue English Literature with a minor in Professional Writing at Concordia University. Previously, she served as the Arts and Culture Editor for The Concordian and currently works as the Web Content Manager for Soliloquies Anthology. Ginane’s black cat, Phoebe, is always nearby with her pink rhinestone collar, ready to point out any typos.

In pursuit of a laugh and also a BFA in Creative Writing and Liberal Arts at Concordia. My interests include literature (especially prose fiction and/or non-fiction), music, comedy, filmmaking, and pop culture. All horses enthral me. I admit to judging lots of books by their covers. A few of my current favourites are The Rules of Attraction by Bret Easton Ellis, Flesh by David Szalay, and—more locally—Mood Swings by Frankie Barnett.

Ana Habib
Farzana Habib, (Ana) she/her/hers is a Montreal-based writer and poet currently studying English Literature at Concordia University. She is currently working on a horror novel and has several published works spanning poetry, fiction, and anthologies, available on Amazon, Ukiyoto, and other platforms. Outside of writing and academia, she enjoys travelling, hiking, and discovering new places. Through her writing, she seeks to explore the complexities of human emotion, relationships, and fear, crafting stories that stay with us long after they end.

Eva Wilson
Eva Wilson (she/her) is one of Pixie Literary’s poetry editors. Raised in rural Ontario, she moved abroad in high school to learn languages and now speaks five. She is completing a BFA in Germany and lives in Montreal. Her poetry, photography, and zines have been exhibited across Europe and Australia, and her writing has appeared in Concordia’s The Link. Seeing beauty in contradictions, she believes a poem can tell a story and a mystery at the same time. She leads diary writing workshops and sometimes turns her nightly journal entries into poems.

Tasha Clarke
Tasha Clarke is an aspiring theatre artist and fourth-year creative writing student at Concordia University. In her time studying she’s found her interest in writing dry and absurdist humour, often swan diving into feminist critical analysis when given the opportunity. Earlier publications include her presentation in the 2023 Literature Profile Academic Conference and her 2026 essay “Empowerment or Oppression: On the Connotations of Gender in Pole Dance” in Yiara Magazine. When she’s not writing, you’ll find her flexing her acting muscles in short films, or her actual muscles in the pole studio.

Angell Roulez is a Montreal-based cultural critic, storyteller, and writer with a B.A. in Creative Writing from Concordia University. Her work explores life’s not-so-fun happenings through a witty, approachable lens, weaving together themes of femininity, radical transparency, and close observations of everyday life. Passionate about encouraging self-expression, her writing has appeared in Pixie Literary and Arrival Magazine. She lives in Montreal with her cat, Jacquon. In her free time, she can be found obsessing over the authenticity of 2010s pop culture and media.

Danielle Jensen is a Montreal-based writer and poet from Vancouver Island. She is in her second year at Concordia studying a double major in English Literature and Creative Writing. Nemesis
Nemesis (any pronouns) is an undergraduate at Concordia studying English Literature. They are interested in exploring and pushing the boundaries of literary conventions while bringing awareness to current world events and social issues. When they’re not writing or reading, Nemesis likes to do some arts and crafts while listening to obnoxiously loud music, playing video games with friends or feeding pigeons in the park.

Eva Teoli (she/her) is a Design student at Concordia University, who is passionate about how visual art, storytelling, and multicultural environments can shape the way people interact with a space and connect with a community. She is currently interested in exploring exhibition design, print and digital media and curating events. Eva also loves history, thrifting, going to cinemas and is always on the lookout for a good spot to eat at.
