​                           Nora Trepanier

Nora (she/her) is in her third year in Creative Writing at Concordia. Her writing focuses on everyday occurrences, the feminine experience and weird happenings. If not writing you can find her drinking tea at a café or playing with her cats. She has previously worked for This Side of West and pixie.

India Das-Brown

India Das-Brown (she/her) is completing her undergrad in creative writing, science journalism, and psychology. She delights in the written word in all its forms, and is constantly in awe of how the self can be expressed. She has published poetry, fiction, reviews, journalism, and some visual art across different outlets and magazines. She loves sunlight, bodies of water, Betty Boop, and shoes.

​                           Hannah Vogan

Hannah Vogan (she/her) is pixie literary magazine’s Managing Editor. Hannah’s a freelance writer, advocacy journalist and editor based in Montreal. Originally from Toronto, her work spans poetry, feature length journalism, and the occasional venture into the world of prose. Her love of cats extends beyond the simple admirable phrase, taking a physical form in a soon-to-be cat tattoo sleeve on her left arm. When she isn’t reading or writing purposeful nonsense, she’s trying out recipes she saved on instagram reels, revving up for the trad-wife-pocalypse.

Kassia Scotti

Kassia Scotti (she/her) is pursuing a BA Honours in English and Creative Writing at Concordia University. She has been published in two magazines. She loves women’s fiction, romcoms, and picking up new hobbies. She is an avid reader and writer, and has been ever since she was a young girl. It was there for her then, and it continues to be there for her now.

Alessia Bellizzi

Born and raised in Montreal, Alessia (she/her) is a final-year English Literature student with a minor in Education at Concordia University. Her academic interests focus on feminist theory, narrative form, and the ways literature shapes cultural understanding. In her free time, she is usually scribbling in notebooks that may never be finished but are always cherished.

Dahlia Mandel

Dahlia Mandel (she/her) is a Toronto/Montreal-based writer and editor with an unhealthy fixation on Shirley Jackson and the Brontë sisters. When she’s not collecting limited editions of classic novels, she can be found baking sourdough or annoying her cat. She is thrilled to be rejoining pixie’s team for a second year.

Mariejane Poirier

Mariejane/MJ (she/her) is a third year creative writing student at Concordia, and a poetry editor for Pixie Magazine. As a classically trained pianist with a strong understanding of music theory, MJ adapts a multidisciplinary approach to poetry analysis and composition.

Talia Ducat (she/her) is a Montreal based writer. She has recently been published in Soliloquies Anthology and Ahoy literary.

Molly Murphy-Major

Molly Murphy-Major (she/her) is a writer and filmmaker. She is currently a fourth-year student in Communication Studies. Through any medium she can find, she’s interested in telling stories that underscore the female experience and explore the intrinsic connection between body and nature. Her film, Perennia, has been featured in festivals such as Kinorino, FOKUS Film Festival, and Concordia Film Festival.

Yasmine Nowroozi

A double fire sign girly passionate about Middle Eastern politics, historical fiction, and fashion. If she’s not reading, she’s blasting Lana, Haifa, and Googoosh. Yasmine (she/her) loved a matcha and feminist literature combo before the performative males took over.

Cate Murphy (she/her) is in her fourth year of English Literature with a minor in Film Studies. Her work often explores themes of queerness, community, and the ways stories shape identity, with occasional ventures into the melodramatic. When not writing, she can usually be found browsing facebook marketplace for hours on end.

Ryan (she/they) is a poet and mixed-media artist whose work explores nature through fantastical diction and narrative. She is currently exploring building songs and fibre pieces to work in tandem with their poetry and tales.

Seayenna Fontaine Lee

Seayenna Fontaine Lee (she/her) is a 25 year old singer/ songwriter born in Montreal/ Tiohtià:ke. She grew up in Tsimshian territory, Terrace, in British Columbia. Her mother comes from Sagkeeng First Nation in Manitoba, and Seayenna’s Ojibwe background and childhood in BC are significant to her writing. She explores themes of identity, decolonization, language, land, connection, and disconnection. She writes to feel empowered, to play, to process, and to connect. She loves alpacas, volleyball, and her biggest flex is that her celebrity crush, Channing Tatum, follows her on instagram.

As a staff writer for pixie this year, Anna (she/her) hopes to bring a fusion of fiction styles and subjects. She is interested in magical realism, science fiction, poetry, and prose. In her final year of Honors English and Creative Writing, she hopes to be immersed in the new work of her peers.

Panos Michalakopoulos​

Panos Michalakopoulos (he/him) is a Tiohtià:ke/Montreal-based designer and creative director focusing on advocacy design, print layout and graphics. His practice explores the intersection of design and storytelling in editorial spaces and collaborative environments. Panos actively works towards creating publication designs that feel experimental, accessible, and intentional. His current vision for pixie literary magazine involves understanding the relationship of text to image—while still contemplating whether leaving Greece for attending design at ConU was actually a solid idea​

Social Media Manager

Sabrina Paixao

Sabrina Paixao (she/her) is currently in her 3rd year at Concordia pursuing a BFA in Studio Arts as well as Film and Moving Image Studies. In her free time, she enjoy working on creative projects such as organizing photoshoots and working on short films, while simultaneously trying to find the time to get through the piles of books that are scattered around her room. She also love thrifting and am a big foodie, so if you have any recommendations for either feel free to let her know!
